Tilt Hoist

We will begin our tour at the Tilt Hoist. All logs under 26' long for log home production will enter the building at this station. Here the logs are set on a tilting hoist. As they are raised the logs slide off onto the green-chain and the sticks are dropped out the bottom onto a conveyor to a stick cart. The logs are transferred to the rollers and checked for the direction of the bow. Using a built in hydraulic log turner, the log are turned for best yield and sent to the moulder. Logs over 26' are manually set on the rollers
